Appreciating the Little Things

Today as we were doing various things, Finley kept going, “look mama, LOOK!” At the most random things. Like a blade of grass. Or  her shoe. As you may be able to tell, it started to become slightly annoying. But then it got me thinking, how many times in our day to day lives do we just pass by the simple beauties and not even LOOK? How many tines are we too busy on our phones, or getting things done that we don’t let the simple things in life bring us joy?
Sometimes we need to stop and look. Look at the trees gently moving in the wind. Look at the way the sunlight makes everything sparkle. Look at the sky right after a storm.

So I’m challenging you to take time to pause in your life and appreciate the beauty all the around you. Like a mother goose swimming through a lake with her goslings or the gentle chirping of crickets as you fall asleep. Take the time to just appreciate the tiny little blessings that we’ve been given. The beauty in life that is just there for us to look at all the time. I I feel like if we take more time to pause and look at those simple things all around us then we’ll begin to become more thankful for all that we’ve been given. And once we start becoming more thankful, we realize how content we are with what we already have and that we really don’t need a lot to be truly happy.
